Welcome to the farm!

Amber Lake Farm is a regenerative farm focusing on soil regeneration, increasing biodiversity and enhancing the ecosystem through sustainable agriculture techniques.

We use no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Instead, we use compost, horse manure and wood chips to amend the soil and add nitrogen. For pest management, the gardens have attracted natural predators like eastern fence lizards, skinks and frogs. In addition, plants - marigolds and lavender - are used to repel insects. The insects that make it to the plants are picked off by hand. Bees, on the other hand, are encouraged!

We believe prioritizing whole, unprocessed, natural foods can pave the way to a healthier future. As Hippocrates is credited for writing, "let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food." Choosing locally sourced and organic foods promotes sustainable agriculture, reduces exposure to harmful chemicals, and supports the local economy. It also ensures fresher and more nutrient-dense food.
