Lyreleaf sage (Salvia lyrata) is a resilient, native North American perennial known for its lyre-shaped leaves and blue-violet flowers, making it a great pollinator plant for gardens, rain gardens, and even as a lawn alternative. It's drought-tolerant once established, adaptable to various soils, and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Historically, it was also used medicinally and is sometimes called "Cancer Weed".
